What We Collect
When you use PostyBee, we collect the following information:
- Account information — your name, username, and email address when you register.
- Photos — images you upload for listing generation. Photos are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your eBay listing and are not stored permanently beyond 24 hours.
- Listing data — the listings you generate, including titles, descriptions, and pricing information.
- eBay credentials — API keys and OAuth tokens you provide to connect your eBay account, stored encrypted and used solely to post listings on your behalf.
How We Use Your Data
- Account management — to create and maintain your account, authenticate you, and send password reset emails.
- Listing generation — your photos and notes are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to analyze the item and generate an eBay-ready listing. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy for how they handle API data.
- eBay posting — if you choose to post a listing, we use the credentials you provide to submit it to eBay on your behalf.
- Service improvement — aggregate, anonymized usage statistics to understand how the app is used.
What We Don't Do
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- We do not share your personal information with advertisers.
- We do not use your photos for any purpose other than generating your requested listing.
- We do not store uploaded photos longer than 24 hours after generation.
Third-Party Services
PostyBee uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Anthropic Claude API — processes your photos and notes to generate listing text. Data sent to Anthropic is subject to their Privacy Policy.
- eBay API — used to post listings when you choose to. Subject to eBay's Privacy Policy.
- Railway / PostgreSQL — your account data and listings are stored securely on Railway's cloud infrastructure.
Data Security
Your data is stored on Railway's secure PostgreSQL infrastructure. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. eBay credentials are stored per-account and are only accessible to your session.
Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by logging in and going to Settings → Delete Account (at the bottom of the page). Type DELETE to confirm and click Delete My Account.
This immediately and permanently removes your account, your connected eBay, Etsy, and TikTok credentials/tokens, your listings and listing photos, and your listing scan and posting history from our database. This cannot be undone.
One exception: if you ever subscribed to PostyBee Pro, your billing record is kept by our payment processor, Stripe, for accounting purposes and is not automatically deleted along with your account. Contact us below if you'd like that removed too.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of PostyBee after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
